The Expert

I just received an email in response to my request for a WWI expert to review my manuscript.

The gent is in the UK and he is a member of RootsChat and he said he would be pleased to review my manuscript.

This is huge because it will give creditably to the book as well as assure me that the facts I used in writing the battle descriptions are correct. I would be embarrassed if the book is published with errors that would be recognized by those knowledgeable in WWI history.

I'm always amazed with the number of people that go out of their way to help. On the flip side are those that don't bother to get involved at all.

As I have posted, I have contacted several people requesting their time to review the manuscript and never received a reply. Even when enticed with a digital copy of the journal, which I would think be of great interest. Even museums are unresponsive. I sent several queries to the Royal Artillery museum asking them if they would be interested in the journal - never a reply. It has been almost a week since I emailed the Imperial War Museum inquiring if they would like to replace the digital copy with the original journal, still no reply.

I guess I was raised during a time when manners were taught and expected at home. That you respond to people when they're trying to communicate with you. I should stop complaining since I can change things.

Still waiting to hear from Create Space on the time frame for receiving the proof copy of the book. Right now I have the patients of a child at Christmas Eve. I have my finger on the trigger to launch my marketing plan. All I need is a date that the book will be available.
